Farming Kindergarten

A kindergarten built around the idea that kids learn best when they can touch and grow things. Each classroom opens onto its own garden plot where children plant vegetables and herbs.

The buildings are arranged as a cluster of small pavilions around a greenhouse and composting area · the whole site becomes a living classroom. Rainwater is collected from the roofs, and the greenhouse provides food for the kitchen.

Materials are natural and non-toxic, from the rammed earth walls to the timber shading screens.
